The current system uses a single viewing key per account, which could allow a quantum attacker to link all payments to that account once broken. The design is still under review and could be implemented in software wallets like Vizor soon, with hardware wallets to follow after firmware updates. This improvement aims to close a potential quantum privacy gap before Zcash's planned Tachyon upgrade arrives.
