Wyoming's Frontier Stable Token switches from LayerZero to Chainlink's CCIP for safer cross-chain transfers.

Wyoming's Stable Token Commission decided to move its Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) after a major LayerZero-related theft exposed security weaknesses. The April 2026 attack on a LayerZero bridge resulted in a $292 million loss due to compromised off-chain infrastructure. The Commission found LayerZero's operational and architectural flaws, poor incident disclosure, and weak security controls unsuitable for a government-backed digital asset. CCIP was chosen for its built-in protections, decentralized oracle network, strong audits, and resilience, setting a higher security standard for public financial systems. The migration is complete, with LayerZero routes retired, serving as a model for secure regulated asset transfers across blockchains.
