New ETF targets large language model builders but lacks top AI firms and holds significant Chinese stocks.

The Global X LLM ETF launched on October 1, 2026, focuses on companies building large language models, with major holdings in Meta, SpaceX, and Alphabet. However, the fund excludes private AI leaders OpenAI and Anthropic, includes about a third of assets in Chinese stocks with regulatory risks, and holds a social media company as its largest position. The ETF offers concentrated exposure but overlaps with existing U.S. tech stocks, charging a 0.75% fee. Its value proposition may improve if private AI firms go public and join the fund.

As of Oct 02, 2026 22:02 WIB, major holdings in the new Global X LLM ETF like Meta and Google are showing positive momentum on Pluang, with Meta up 0.84% at USD 732.00 and Google rising 1.79% to USD 340.93. SpaceX, another key holding, is even stronger with a 5.99% increase to USD 156.94. Notably, SpaceX also sees the shortest typical hold time of 39 days among these stocks on Pluang, highlighting active trading interest.
