XRP spot trading volume drops sharply despite price recovery to $1.40, futures dominate market activity.

XRP's price has recovered to around $1.40, but spot trading volume on centralized exchanges has fallen significantly by $1.943 billion from Aug. 26 to Oct. 11. Binance alone saw a $429 million drop in spot volume, while other exchanges combined lost $1.514 billion. Meanwhile, futures trading volume has grown, with the spot-to-futures volume ratio on Binance dropping from 31% to 12.7%, indicating futures are nearly eight times larger than spot volume. This suggests traders may be waiting for lower prices before increasing spot trading. Despite this, U.S.-listed spot XRP ETFs continue to see strong demand, with net inflows reaching a record $1.8 billion over 13 weeks, signaling sustained investor interest through ETFs.

As of Oct 13, 2026 11:21 WIB, XRP trades at Rp24,470 on Pluang, down 2.30% in the last day with a 24-hour volume of Rp46.41 trillion. Despite the reported decline in spot volume on centralized exchanges, XRP maintains a significant market cap of Rp1.551,06 trillion and a balanced order activity of 44% sell and 56% buy on Pluang. This ongoing trading interest contrasts with the shift toward futures noted in the article.
