Trump Media and Technology Group has abandoned its plan to create a publicly traded company to accumulate Cronos (CRO) tokens due to challenging market conditions and changing priorities. The company is also scaling back its partnership with Crypto.com, including halting Crypto.com services for planned Yorkville ETFs and reducing integration of Crypto.com-powered prediction markets into Truth Social. Instead, Trump Media is focusing more on its media operations, data licensing, and a proposed merger with fusion-energy firm TAE Technologies, aiming to complete the deal by the end of 2026. Despite these cutbacks, Trump Media still holds significant Bitcoin assets, including 9,542 BTC as of Q2 2026.
