Amgen and AstraZeneca announced positive Phase 3 CROSSING trial results for TEZSPIRE (tezepelumab-ekko), demonstrating significant and lasting improvements in patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). The drug achieved histologic remission in about 65-69% of patients at week 24 and sustained these results through week 52, also reducing swallowing difficulties and achieving endoscopic remission. This offers a promising new treatment option for EoE patients, many of whom do not respond adequately to current therapies. The findings will be presented at the United European Gastroenterology Week 2026, with TEZSPIRE continuing development for inflammatory diseases.
