Tether deal nets $6.3M for Nxum, linked to ex-White House adviser Bo Hines amid stablecoin law talks

Nxum, co-founded by former White House crypto adviser Bo Hines, earned $6.3 million from a consulting deal with Tether. Hines, who held a one-third stake in Nxum while in government, shared stablecoin bill strategies with partners and advocated for a longer compliance period favoring Tether. Payments totaling $7.47 million were routed through a marketing firm, with Nxum receiving the majority after Hines left government. The GENIUS Act, establishing federal stablecoin rules, was signed in July 2025, and Hines joined Tether as a strategic adviser shortly after.

As of Oct 15, 2026 16:01 WIB, Tether's USDT is trading at Rp17.899 on Pluang with a slight 1-day increase of 0.03%. The stablecoin maintains a substantial market cap of Rp3.295,25 trillion and a 24-hour trading volume of Rp1.578,29 trillion. Despite the consulting deal news involving Nxum and Tether, Pluang's order activity shows a majority of 67% Sell orders, with typical hold times around 91 days.
