Gatik raises $200M to expand its driverless box truck delivery service with PepsiCo and others.

Gatik, an autonomous vehicle startup specializing in self-driving box trucks for short-haul deliveries, has raised $200 million in a funding round led by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies. This funding follows a multi-year commercial deal with PepsiCo and brings Gatik's total funding to about $500 million since 2019. The company operates fully driverless trucks delivering products for major clients like PepsiCo, Walmart, and Loblaw across several U.S. cities. The new capital will help Gatik scale operations, hire more staff, and expand into new markets, solidifying its position in the growing middle-mile delivery sector of autonomous vehicles.
