Solana wallets targeted by address-poisoning scam losing funds via lookalike addresses.

A scam involving Solana wallets uses lookalike blockchain addresses to trick users into sending funds to attackers. The scam starts with a small test transfer followed by a large payment to a fake address that closely resembles the legitimate one, exploiting shortened wallet displays. Over 4.4 million wallets were exposed between late 2025 and late 2026, with at least 1,104 wallets confirmed to have sent nearly $940,000 to these lookalike addresses.
