Ripple Prime starts financing leveraged ETFs, entering a market dominated by big banks.

Ripple Prime, the brokerage arm of Ripple, has begun providing swap financing to leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs), a service traditionally offered by major banks. This move allows Ripple Prime to earn steady fees by facilitating total return swaps for leveraged ETFs like the Tradr 2X Long SNDK Daily ETF, which pays Ripple an annualized fee of about 8% of its assets. Ripple expanded into prime brokerage through its $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road and has raised significant capital to support this business. The development marks Ripple's growing footprint in institutional finance beyond its digital currency XRP, which showed little price reaction to the news.

Despite Ripple's expansion into leveraged ETF financing, XRP's price on Pluang stands at Rp25.308 as of Oct 08, 2026 16:51 WIB, down 2.50% over the past day. This contrasts with its strong market presence, holding a market cap of Rp1.591,41T and a high buy order activity of 84%, indicating sustained investor interest even as the price dips. XRP's circulating supply is at 64% of its total, with typical holders on Pluang maintaining positions for about 71 days.
