QuickNode has launched a beta for Ethereum's Fast Confirmation Rule (FCR) on mainnet RPC endpoints, allowing developers to access faster block confirmations in about 13 seconds without altering Ethereum's network. This rule uses validator attestations to identify blocks earlier than the network's full finality, which takes about 13 minutes. While FCR provides an earlier confirmation signal, it does not replace Ethereum's full finality, and there's a risk of block reorganization if certain validator conditions fail. QuickNode's beta expands access to this technology beyond Gnosis, which already uses FCR for transfers to Gnosis Chain.
