Pump.fun, a Solana-based memecoin launchpad, has replaced its Cashback mode with a new Holder Rewards system. Instead of trading fees going back to creators or active traders instantly, fees now accumulate in a distribution wallet and are paid out multiple times per hour to token holders based on how long and how much they hold. This change addresses community concerns that Cashback disproportionately benefited creators, especially for tokens without active development teams. Existing tokens can convert to Holder Rewards if they meet criteria, but the change is permanent, while old Cashback tokens remain tradeable under original rules.
