BlackRock's cryptocurrency portfolio fell by $12.45 billion from June 1 to June 11, 2026, dropping from $64.53 billion to $52.08 billion, a 19.29% decline. The decrease was mainly due to reductions in Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings within its iShares Bitcoin Trust and iShares Ethereum Trust ETF. Bitcoin holdings dropped by 24,820 BTC, losing about $11.08 billion in value amid a 14% price fall, while Ethereum holdings decreased by 146,380 ETH, losing $1.38 billion as prices fell over 18%. The sell-off coincided with investors shifting focus to the SpaceX IPO, but BlackRock's crypto portfolio may rebound as the crypto market is expected to recover alongside a falling precious metals market.
