Peter Schiff warns AI could threaten Bitcoin by competing for resources and exposing software flaws.

Economist Peter Schiff cautions that artificial intelligence (AI) may pose a threat to Bitcoin by competing for investment, electricity, and data center infrastructure. He suggests that powerful AI might uncover vulnerabilities in Bitcoin's code or cryptography that humans have missed. While Bitcoin adjusts mining difficulty to changes in computing power, competition from AI could pressure mining profitability. However, Bitcoin's core rules, like its 21 million coin limit, remain protected by network nodes, and AI could also help improve Bitcoin's security by identifying bugs before exploitation.
