Attackers exploited a signature reuse flaw in the Wanchain-operated Cardano–BNB Chain bridge, draining about 515 million NIGHT tokens worth $13 million. This caused the NIGHT token price to fall over 30% to a record low near $0.016. The breach was isolated to the third-party bridge infrastructure, with no impact on the Midnight network or Cardano's core protocol. Wanchain has taken the bridge offline and is investigating, while the Midnight Foundation confirmed their network remains secure.
