Ford Motor reported a 10.3% decline in U.S. new vehicle sales for the second quarter, selling 549,200 vehicles compared to 612,095 a year earlier. The automaker faced a 40.7% drop in pure electric vehicle sales and an 11% decline in F-Series truck sales due to supplier disruptions from aluminum supply shortages caused by fires last year. Ford expects supply to improve in the second half of the year as production ramps up. Despite the declines, Ford's sales slightly outperformed expectations, which forecast an 11.5% drop.
