Opendoor shares drop 21% after missing Q3 revenue and earnings forecasts with weak Q4 outlook.

Opendoor's stock plunged 21% after it reported Q3 revenue of $1.02 billion, missing analyst expectations, and a GAAP loss wider than forecast. Despite buying more homes than in years, the company faces challenges with a swollen inventory and negative cash flow, leading to a cautious Q4 revenue and loss forecast. Unlike peers Zillow and Rocket, Opendoor's inventory-heavy model exposes it to higher risks amid a slow housing market. Investors remain wary as the company works to reduce its large home inventory without further heavy cash burn.

Opendoor's stock fell sharply by 21.79% to USD 1.40 as of Nov 07, 2026 02:21 WIB on Pluang, reflecting significant investor reaction to its earnings miss. Zillow Group also declined but more modestly, down 1.85% to USD 29.73. Meanwhile, Rocket Companies held steady with a slight gain of 1.01%, trading at USD 14.97 on Pluang at the same time.
