OpenAI expands Daybreak cyber defense with new GPT-5.6-Cyber model for advanced security tasks

OpenAI has expanded its Daybreak cyber defense service to include two tiers: Blue and Red. Blue offers basic cybersecurity tools like incident response and malware analysis, while Red provides advanced capabilities including the new GPT-5.6-Cyber model designed for specialized security testing and vulnerability research. This new model is currently available only to trusted partners such as Accenture, IBM, and Crowdstrike. The expansion addresses rising AI-driven cyber threats by equipping defenders with cutting-edge AI tools to counter increasingly sophisticated attacks.
