Oklo and NuScale Power stocks jump after House vote on data center power costs boosts nuclear prospects

Shares of nuclear developers Oklo and NuScale Power surged 13% and 10% respectively following a House vote on the Ratepayer Protection Act, which would require large data centers to pay for their own power generation and grid upgrades. This policy could increase demand for dedicated small modular reactors, benefiting these companies. However, uranium miners showed less enthusiasm, indicating the market sees this as a developer-specific boost rather than a broad nuclear industry rally. The bill still needs Senate approval, and investors should be cautious as both companies are pre-revenue and sensitive to policy changes.

Oklo shares are up 12.94% at USD 40.23, while NuScale Power has gained 9.28% to USD 9.07 on Pluang. Both stocks show strong buying interest, with NuScale at 100% buy orders and Oklo at 57% buy orders. These figures are current as of Sep 18, 2026 00:21 WIB.
