Ledger Wallet users can now borrow stablecoins using wrapped Bitcoin as collateral without selling holdings.

Ledger has introduced a new loan feature allowing eligible users of Ledger Wallet to borrow stablecoins like USDC or USDT by using wrapped Bitcoin tokens such as cbBTC and WBTC as collateral. This service integrates Morpho lending markets via Yield.xyz, enabling users to manage loans directly within the hardware wallet app while keeping transaction authorization secure on the device. Borrowers maintain Bitcoin exposure while accessing liquidity, with loan-to-value ratios and borrowing rates varying by asset and market conditions. This addition enhances Ledger Wallet's functionality by offering Bitcoin-backed borrowing options without selling native Bitcoin.

Ledger's new Bitcoin-backed loan feature is presented here with a snapshot of Pluang's cryptocurrency market as of Oct 07, 2026 16:21 WIB. Among 50 major cryptocurrencies priced on Pluang, only 5 rose while 44 fell. Notably, THETA dropped 7.39% to Rp3.948 with a typical hold time of 77 days and 100% sell order activity, contrasting with SUSHI's 7.34% decline to Rp4.246 and a more balanced 65% sell to 35% buy order activity, while XTZ fell 7.17% to Rp5.538 with 95% sell orders and a typical hold time of 100 days.
