Anchorage Digital picks LayerZero for regulated stablecoin interoperability, boosting institutional adoption.

Anchorage Digital has chosen LayerZero as its preferred interoperability layer for stablecoins issued through its federally chartered bank, emphasizing the importance of regulated stablecoins for mass adoption by banks, payment firms, and corporate treasuries. Tether’s USAT is the first stablecoin confirmed to use LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard, which has processed $280 billion across 170+ blockchains. The partnership supports multiple stablecoins including those from Western Union and OSL Group, aiming to meet strict regulatory, reserve, and compliance requirements essential for institutional use. While USAT is already integrated, rollout dates for other stablecoins under this agreement have not been announced yet, as U.S. stablecoin regulations continue to evolve under the GENIUS Act.

Tether USDT trades at Rp17.804 on Pluang as of Sep 23, 2026 11:11 WIB, showing a slight 0.15% decrease in one day. The stablecoin's market cap stands at Rp3.264,37 trillion with a 24-hour trading volume of Rp1.583,74 trillion. Pluang users currently show 66% sell and 34% buy activity, holding USDT for an average of 88 days. This data highlights ongoing interest in regulated stablecoins like USDT amid evolving regulatory frameworks.
