Injective has launched native USDC on its mainnet using Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), becoming the canonical USDC standard across the Cosmos ecosystem, including major players like Cosmos Hub and dYdX. This move fills the gap left by Noble's exit from USDC issuance, consolidating over $100 million in stablecoin supply under one standard. dYdX, handling $4 billion monthly in derivatives, now uses Injective USDC exclusively, reducing cross-chain risks. Additionally, transaction fees from Injective USDC activity will fund ATOM buybacks, linking stablecoin usage directly to Cosmos Hub's token value. The four-year adoption commitment signals long-term infrastructure stability but also centralizes critical ecosystem infrastructure under Injective.
