Hyundai plans $26B U.S. investment to boost production and market share, aiming for 80% domestic vehicle sales by 2030.

Hyundai Motor is accelerating its U.S. expansion with a $26 billion investment plan through 2028, including ramping up production at a new $7.6 billion plant in Georgia. The company aims to increase its U.S. market share, which has grown from 8.4% in 2020 to 11.8% in 2026, and produce at least 80% of the vehicles it sells in the U.S. domestically by 2030. This growth is driven by a broad product range from affordable Hyundai and Kia models to luxury Genesis vehicles, alongside plans for over 100 new vehicle launches and a focus on electrified models. Hyundai's strategy is supported by tariff-driven localization efforts and a goal to become the second most profitable automaker globally.
