GMG's graphene batteries show no degradation after 489 fast charge cycles, outperforming lithium titanate cells.

Graphene Manufacturing Group (GMG) announced that its G®CELLS graphene batteries have demonstrated exceptional durability, showing no performance loss after 489 cycles of fast charging and discharging within six minutes each. This performance significantly surpasses lithium titanate oxide (LTO) batteries, which degraded to 86% capacity after just 64 cycles under the same conditions. The G®CELLS also exhibited low internal resistance and minimal temperature rise, indicating better safety and thermal management. GMG plans to further optimize energy density and scale production, with ongoing support from partners Rio Tinto and the Battery Innovation Center of Indiana.
