Genmab and AbbVie announced that the Phase 3 EPCORE DLBCL-1 trial evaluating epcoritamab, a bispecific antibody treatment for relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), did not meet its primary endpoint of overall survival (OS) in the U.S. The trial compared epcoritamab to investigator's choice of chemoimmunotherapy in patients ineligible for stem cell transplant. Despite the setback, epcoritamab remains FDA-approved under accelerated approval and is being further studied in combination therapies and other lymphoma indications. Additional detailed results will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.
