Ethereum node operator ether.fi now requires all 12 of its node operators to run Optimum's mump2p software, which provides an additional route for block propagation alongside Ethereum's existing system. This update aims to reduce late block delivery, helping validators avoid missing rewards like attestations and MEV. Currently, mump2p supports validators managing over 1.4 million ETH and about 22,000 validator keys. Optimum plans to expand mump2p to other high-throughput blockchains after Ethereum.
