Datadog shares drop 11% despite Q3 beat due to cautious Q4 revenue outlook

Datadog reported strong Q3 earnings with revenue up 35% year-over-year and earnings per share beating estimates. However, its cautious revenue guidance for Q4, showing little growth, caused shares to fall 11% in early trading. The company highlighted strong AI adoption but expects slower growth partly due to conservative assumptions about its largest customer's spending and early renewals from large AI clients. Investors remain cautious as the market weighs the impact of slowing cloud and AI spending on Datadog's future growth.

Datadog's shares dropped sharply by 10.48% to USD 197.40, closing in on the midpoint of its 52-week range between USD 102.62 and USD 293.26 as of Nov 04, 2026 22:01 WIB. In contrast, MongoDB and Snowflake saw smaller declines of 1.71% and 1.75%, trading at USD 329.63 and USD 289.88 respectively, both well below their 52-week highs of USD 472.29 and USD 368.89. This shows Datadog's stock is experiencing more volatility compared to its cloud technology peers on Pluang.
