Nearly 70M Trump Accounts auto-created for kids, parents must claim to manage and get $1,000 seed fund

Since July 4, nearly 70 million Trump Accounts have been automatically created for American children under 18, offering a one-time $1,000 federal seed contribution for eligible kids born between 2025 and 2028. Parents and guardians must claim these accounts via the Trump Accounts App to manage them and access the seed funds. The accounts invest in low-cost ETFs tracking broad U.S. stock indexes, and custodians can enable contributions from family, friends, and employers up to $5,000 annually per child. This program aims to encourage early investment and savings for children’s futures.

The Trump Accounts program encourages early investment in broad U.S. stock indexes, similar to how VTI on Pluang tracks the total U.S. stock market. As of Oct 27, 2026 02:51 WIB, VTI trades at USD 375.56, close to its 52-week high of USD 384.30, showing a 1-day gain of 0.68%. This price level contrasts with its 52-week low of USD 311.68, indicating strong recent performance and investor interest, with 68% of Pluang orders being buys and a typical holding period of 134 days.
