Canada Nickel has selected Komatsu and its Canadian dealer SMS Equipment to supply over 300 load and haul machines valued at about C$1.5 billion for the 40-year Crawford Nickel Project. Komatsu's automation and electrification technologies align with Canada Nickel's goal to create a low-carbon, advanced mining operation. The partnership aims to reduce diesel use and CO2 emissions through trolley-assisted trucks and prepare for future electric vehicles. Definitive agreements are expected by early 2027, supporting the project's development toward a construction decision in 2027.
