Blackrock's European iShares Bitcoin exchange-traded product (ETP), launched in March 2025, has surpassed $1.1 billion in assets under management, holding about 14,200 BTC. This milestone highlights growing institutional demand for regulated bitcoin exposure beyond the U.S., under European regulations like MiCA. The success of IB1T alongside the U.S. IBIT product confirms that institutional interest in bitcoin is a global trend. Blackrock now holds roughly 773,990 BTC across its global bitcoin products, making it a major institutional bitcoin holder worldwide.
