Bitwise has introduced the Lighter Staking ETP (ticker BLIT) on Deutsche Börse Xetra, allowing European investors to access the LIT token through regular brokerage accounts. The ETP is physically backed by over 1 million LIT tokens worth about $4.74 million at launch, though this is small compared to LIT's $1.27 billion market cap. Staking of the tokens will begin only after the ETP reaches a sufficient asset size, which Bitwise has not yet disclosed. This product provides a new regulated channel for investing in LIT, a token linked to Lighter, an Ethereum layer 2 decentralized exchange focused on perpetual futures and on-chain markets. The ETP carries a 0.85% annual fee and aims to bridge crypto assets with mainstream investors in Europe.
