Bittensor launches eTAO, letting subnet owners customize token emission splits within set limits.

Bittensor has introduced eTAO, a new feature allowing subnet owners to control how alpha tokens are distributed among owners, validators, and miners. Previously, the default split allocated 18% to owners, 41% to validators, and 41% to miners. With eTAO, owners can now assign themselves between 0% and 33%, give validators up to 50%, and ensure miners receive at least 33%. Subnets created via lease must keep at least 18% for the owner. This flexibility aims to protect the root network's stakers by adjusting the subnet's effective TAO weight when splits change. Existing subnets keep their current allocations until owners decide to adjust them, with changes allowed roughly once a week.

Following Bittensor's launch of eTAO to give subnet owners more control over token payouts, TAO on Pluang trades at Rp4.994.616 as of Oct 22, 2026 01:02 WIB. The token shows a 1.21% gain in the last day, with a market cap of Rp58,06 trillion and 24-hour trading volume of Rp3,08 trillion. Pluang users are evenly split between buying and selling, and the typical hold time is 44 days, indicating steady interest in TAO.
