South Korea to launch regulated blockchain tokenization for stocks and bonds by 2027, boosting Avalanche's role.

South Korea is set to implement a new regulatory framework starting February 4, 2027, allowing blockchain-based issuance and trading of stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments. The Korea Securities Depository (KSD) will link traditional finance with blockchain, potentially benefiting Avalanche (AVAX), which is already gaining traction in tokenized stock trading. Institutional adoption is expected to grow as private money market funds and corporate bonds are targeted first, with several brokerages and platforms involved. This move could accelerate South Korea's integration into global on-chain capital markets and boost institutional investment in tokenized securities.

Avalanche (AVAX) trades at Rp197.548 on Pluang as of Oct 03, 2026 20:21 WIB, showing a 1-day decline of 1.21%. Its market cap stands at Rp88,07 trillion with a 24-hour trading volume of Rp10,23 trillion. Despite the recent dip and a majority of Pluang orders being sell (78%), AVAX's circulating supply is at 62% of its max, indicating room for growth as South Korea moves toward blockchain-based tokenization starting 2027.
