Anthropic seeks rehearing after Pentagon blacklists its AI models over security concerns.

Anthropic, an American AI company, has asked a federal appeals court in Washington, D.C. to rehear its case against the Pentagon's decision to blacklist its AI models as a national security supply chain risk. The Defense Department labeled Anthropic a risk in March after negotiations broke down over the military's use of Anthropic's Claude AI models, blocking defense contractors from using the technology. Anthropic sued the Trump administration to reverse the ban, but in September, the court upheld the Pentagon's decision. Anthropic argues the designation was retaliation for its public stance on AI safety, and the company previously held a $200 million contract with the Pentagon before talks collapsed in late 2025.

Anthropic's legal challenge to the Pentagon's blacklisting comes as 69 of 150 Technology-sector US stocks on Pluang rose while 79 fell. For readers following the Technology sector, here is Pluang's market snapshot as of Oct 14, 2026 04:21 WIB: Duolingo Inc (DUOL) traded at USD 139.62 with a 1-day change of -5.50% and 100% buy order activity; Infosys Limited (INFY) at USD 11.40 with +5.26% and 26% buy order activity; BigBearai Holdings Inc (BBAI) at USD 2.42 with +5.22% and 93% buy order activity.
