Less than 1% of Robinhood Chain trades come from Robinhood Wallet users, mostly driven by external crypto traders.

Research by ARK Invest shows that under 1% of transactions on Robinhood Chain are directly linked to Robinhood Wallet users, with a generous estimate of up to 5% when including unidentified contracts. Most trading activity originates from external platforms like GMGN and OKX, indicating the network mainly attracts existing crypto traders rather than new users onboarded through Robinhood. This distinction matters as Robinhood Chain is open to various wallets and applications, and its high trading volumes largely reflect activity from experienced crypto participants, not just Robinhood's customer base. Robinhood has subsidized transaction fees during the chain's early phase, supporting growth in decentralized exchange volume and tokenized stock trading, primarily outside the U.S.
