Aave proposes a new lending model allowing institutions to borrow stablecoins using Bitcoin held by Anchorage Digital as collateral, without moving assets on-chain.

Aave Labs has introduced a governance proposal for a new lending system, "Custodied Collateral Lending: Aave V4 Isolated Hub & Spoke," enabling institutions to borrow stablecoins against Bitcoin held in Anchorage Digital custody. This model utilizes non-transferable Custodied Collateral Tokens (CoCTs) to represent off-chain collateral, with Chainlink's CustodySync managing their minting and burning. Liquidations will occur over-the-counter, and the system will be separate from Aave's retail markets, requiring approval from Aave DAO token holders.

For readers following Aave's institutional lending proposal, here is Pluang's market snapshot as of Sep 16, 2026 07:21 WIB: of 50 priced major cryptocurrencies tradable on Pluang, 4 rose and 45 fell today.
