How can I get rights on Pluang?
There are two ways to get rights on Pluang. First, hold the underlying stock through the end of its Cum Date — every shareholder on record at that point automatically receives rights allocated based on the issuer's right ratio, no action required. Second, buy rights directly in the secondary market — rights trade as their own "-R" ticker (e.g. BBCA-R) and can be bought during session 1 on the TN market, up until the Trading End date. Rights bought this way carry the same exercise privileges as originally-allocated rights, but if bought in the market you'll need that purchase to settle (T+2) before exercising.
Path 1 — Already own the underlying stock:
- Make sure you hold the stock at the end of Cum Date
- Rights are allocated automatically based on the right ratio (e.g. 100:111 means every 100 shares earns 111 rights)
- Allocated rights show up in your portfolio after the distribution date — usually within a few business days
Path 2 — Buy rights in the secondary market:
- Search for the rights ticker on the Explore page (e.g. type "BBCA-R")
- Place a buy order during session 1 of the trading day — rights trade only on the TN market in session 1 (09:00–12:00 WIB Monday–Thursday, 09:00–11:30 WIB Friday)
- The rights you buy carry the same exercise privileges as those allocated to original shareholders
- Buying is only possible until the Trading End date — after that, the trading window is shut
- Your purchase must settle first: wait T+2 after buying before you can exercise those rights
Related questions:
Q: Do I need to do anything to receive rights if I own the underlying stock?
No action needed. Rights are allocated automatically to your portfolio based on the right ratio once the distribution date passes.
Q: What if I buy the underlying stock on the Cum Date itself — do I qualify?
Yes, as long as you own the stock at the end of Cum Date. Selling on or after Ex Date does not strip your right to receive the rights.
Q: Can I still buy the underlying stock to get rights right before Cum Date?
Yes, but timing matters — you must hold the stock through the close of Cum Date. Indonesian stocks settle T+2, so buying too late can mean your purchase hasn't settled in time.
Q: How do I find rights tickers in the Pluang app?
Search the ticker using the "-R" suffix format on the Explore page, e.g. "BBCA-R". If you didn't hold the stock before Cum Date, it won't appear in your portfolio.
