FAQ article

What is the minimum investment amount to start buying stocks on Pluang?

The minimum purchase for Indonesian stocks on Pluang is 1 lot (100 shares) — there's no separate rupiah minimum set by Pluang itself, so the actual capital you need depends entirely on the price of the stock you pick. A Rp500/share stock costs Rp50,000 for 1 lot; a Rp5,000/share stock costs Rp500,000. There's also no minimum deposit required just to open an RDN or keep it active — you fund it only when you're ready to place a trade, and your RDN balance simply needs to cover the full order value plus the applicable regulatory fees (0.15% all-in on buys, 0.25% all-in on sells). Whatever size portfolio you build, your shares are protected up to Rp100,000,000 per investor via SIPF, separate from and in addition to the standard LPS deposit protection that covers cash sitting in your RDN.

Example minimum investment by share price:

Price per Share1 Lot (100 shares)
Rp100Rp10,000
Rp500Rp50,000
Rp1,000Rp100,000
Rp5,000Rp500,000
Rp10,000Rp1,000,000

Important notes:

  • Stock prices fluctuate throughout the trading day — your actual cost depends on the price at the moment your Limit Order executes, not the price when you placed it
  • Your RDN balance must cover the full transaction value plus fees; Pluang's buy-side fee structure totals 0.15% all-in (its own transaction fee plus mandatory regulatory fees including Levy and KPEI fee), so budget slightly above the raw share price × 100
  • Because Pluang supports only Limit Orders, you set the price yourself rather than accepting whatever the market offers — this doesn't change the 1-lot minimum, only how the price is determined

Related questions:

Q: Can I buy less than 1 lot on Pluang?
No. The Indonesia Stock Exchange's regular market trades in lots of 100 shares, and Pluang follows this rule exactly — there is no fractional-share or odd-lot purchase option for Indonesian stocks on the platform.

Q: What is the cheapest stock I can buy on Pluang?
IDX stock prices can start as low as Rp50/share in some cases, meaning 1 lot would cost around Rp5,000. However, very low-priced stocks typically carry limited trading liquidity, so execution at your desired limit price isn't guaranteed even at that small size.

Q: Is there a minimum deposit required just to open or keep an RDN active on Pluang?
No. There is no minimum deposit to open an RDN, and no minimum balance to keep it active — it can sit at Rp0 indefinitely between trades. You only need funds in it once you're ready to place an actual order.

Q: How much RDN balance do I actually need before placing a trade?
Your RDN balance must cover the full order value (share price × 100 per lot) plus Pluang's all-in fee — 0.15% on the buy side, which already includes its own transaction fee, VAT, and mandatory regulatory charges like the Levy and KPEI fee.
