What are the order validity periods for Indonesian stocks on Pluang?

Pluang currently offers a single order validity type for Indonesian stocks: Day. Every order you place — buy or sell — stays active for the rest of that trading day and automatically expires if it hasn't matched by market close. There is no Session-only order (valid for just one of the two IDX trading sessions) and no GTC (Good Till Cancelled) option that would carry an order over to a future trading day — both would need to be re-entered manually. Because Pluang supports Limit Orders exclusively for Indonesian stocks, a Day order will only execute if the market price reaches your specified limit price at some point before the market closes that same day. This applies equally to both buy and sell orders and to every stock on the exchange — there's no asset-specific exception that grants Session-only or GTC validity for particular tickers.

Order validity on Pluang for Indonesian stocks:

Validity TypeAvailableDurationWhat Happens When It Expires
Day✓ Yes — the only validity typeFull trading day (Session I through Session II, until market close)Order is automatically cancelled at end of day; any funds held are returned to your RDN
Session-only✗ Not available
GTC (Good Till Cancelled)✗ Not available

What this means for your orders:

  • Whatever time during trading hours you place your order, it remains live through the rest of that same day — you don't need to specify a session
  • If your limit price isn't matched by the time the market closes, the order expires automatically with no fee
  • If you want to keep trying at the same price the next day, you must place a brand-new order — nothing rolls over automatically

Related questions:

Q: Does Pluang support Session-only orders (valid for just one trading session)?
No. Day is currently the only order validity type for Indonesian stocks on Pluang — an order placed during Session I stays open through Session II of the same day rather than expiring at the mid-day break.

Q: Does Pluang support GTC (Good Till Cancelled) orders?
No. GTC orders — which would stay active across multiple trading days until filled or cancelled — are not currently available on Pluang. Any unfilled order must be re-entered manually each trading day if you still want it open.

Q: What happens to my funds when a Day order expires unfilled?
For buy orders, any funds held are returned to your RDN balance immediately when the order expires at market close, with no fee charged. For sell orders, your shares simply remain in your portfolio untouched.

Q: Can I manually cancel a Day order before it expires?
Yes. You can cancel any pending order at any time during the trading day through the Order History section in the Pluang app, and any held funds return to your RDN right away.
