What's the difference between my Pluang balance and my RDN?

Your Pluang balance funds crypto, gold, US stocks and more, while your RDN is a separate account in your name for Indonesian stocks, facilitated by PT Pluang Maju Sekuritas and PT Sarana Santosa Sejati, both licensed and supervised by OJK. In the Pluang app, your Pluang balance is made up of three balances: IDR Crypto Funding, IDR Cash and USD Cash. Your RDN (Rekening Dana Nasabah, or Investor Fund Account) is opened in your name at Bank Jago or BCA once your Indonesian Asset Verification is approved, and it is the only balance that pays for Indonesian stock purchases. Money can't be moved directly between your RDN and your other Pluang balances, so you top up and withdraw each one separately. Cash in your RDN is covered by LPS (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan, Indonesia's Deposit Insurance Corporation) up to Rp2,000,000,000 per customer per bank.

Good to know

  • Who runs the RDN side: Indonesian stock trading on Pluang is facilitated by PT Pluang Maju Sekuritas, a Securities Company licensed and supervised by OJK (KEP-196/PM/1992), together with PT Sarana Santosa Sejati, a Level II Securities Brokerage Marketing Partner licensed and supervised by OJK (4/PM.02/STTD/MPPPE/2024).
  • RDN daily downtime: from 23:00 to 04:00 WIB every day, you can't see your RDN balance or withdraw from it.
  • RDN withdrawals: each withdrawal must leave at least Rp1 in your RDN.
  • Other wallets: margin balances, such as USD Margin for leveraged US stocks, are separate again, each with its own rules.
  • Risk: money in a balance is cash until you buy an asset; the value of what you buy can go up or down, and past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

Related questions:

Q: Can I move money from my Pluang balance to my RDN?
Not directly. There is currently no transfer between your RDN and your other Pluang balances in either direction, so each one is topped up and withdrawn on its own. To fund Indonesian stocks, transfer money from your own bank account to your RDN account number; Pluang charges no fee and there is no minimum, though your sending bank may charge its own transfer fee. To use RDN cash elsewhere on Pluang, withdraw it to your bank account first.

Q: Why do I need an RDN for Indonesian stocks?
An RDN is the mandatory investor fund account for trading Indonesian stocks, so every stock purchase on Pluang is paid in full from your RDN cash. Pluang opens it in your name through its licensed partners once your Indonesian Asset Verification is approved, at no opening cost. Your shares are held separately at KSEI (Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia), and trades are cleared through KPEI (Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia).

Q: Does my Pluang balance or my RDN earn interest?
It depends on the balance. As of October 2026, a Bank Jago RDN earns 2% a year and a BCA RDN earns 0%. IDR Cash can earn IDR Yield and USD Cash can earn USD Yield, but only after you activate each program; IDR Yield also needs Global & Yield Asset Verification. IDR Yield is operated by PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang, which is licensed and supervised by OJK. IDR Crypto Funding does not earn a yield.

Q: Is the money in my RDN protected?
Cash in your RDN is covered by LPS up to Rp2,000,000,000 per customer per bank. Your Indonesian shares are held at KSEI, and the OJK-supervised investor protection fund, SIPF, can pay compensation of up to Rp100,000,000 per investor. Neither protects you from falling share prices: the value of the stocks you buy can go up or down, and past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
