What Is the Minimum Amount I Need to Stake?

Each supported coin on Pluang has its own minimum staking quantity, set per coin rather than as a single rupiah figure across the board. As a guide, you need at least 0.01 ETH to stake ETH and at least 0.1 SOL to stake SOL, while the minimum for coins such as ATOM is shown on that coin's staking screen in the app. The minimum is measured in coin quantity, not IDR value, so it does not move up and down with price. To stake, you must already hold at least the minimum quantity in your available Pluang wallet — if your balance is below it, the Stake button stays inactive until you buy more of the coin or receive it via crypto receive. Minimums can be updated over time, so the app's staking page is always the authoritative source for the current figure before you commit.

  • Minimums are per coin, in coin units. Because staking is a network activity tied to specific blockchains, each coin carries its own minimum, expressed in units of that coin (for example 0.01 ETH or 0.1 SOL) rather than a shared rupiah threshold. Always read the figure for the exact coin you want to stake.
  • Why there is a minimum at all. Staking commits coins to a Proof-of-Stake network through delegation, and networks and validators generally operate more efficiently above a small floor. The minimum keeps each staking position at a workable size rather than dust-level amounts.
  • What happens if you fall short. If your available balance is under the minimum for that coin, the Stake button is inactive or unavailable. You will need to buy more of the coin, or top up your holding via crypto receive, until you meet the minimum before a staking request can be submitted.
  • The minimum is quantity-based, not value-based. It is defined in coin quantity, so ordinary price swings do not push an already-active position "below minimum". Once a stake is active, a later drop in the coin's IDR value does not unwind it or breach the minimum.
  • No stated maximum. There is no stated maximum staking quantity per coin, so you can stake your full available balance of a supported coin if you wish. Bear in mind the general risks of staking still apply — the price can fall, and staked coins are illiquid during the unbonding period.
  • Partial staking is allowed. If you hold more than the minimum, you can choose to stake only part of your holding; the remainder stays in your available wallet and can still be traded or transferred. Each staking request must still meet the minimum in its own right.

Related questions:

Q: Can I stake less than the minimum if I split my holdings?
No. The minimum applies to each individual staking request, not to your total over time, so splitting a holding into smaller submissions does not get around it — every request must meet at least the minimum quantity on its own. If your available balance is below the minimum for that coin, you will need to add more of the coin before the Stake button becomes active. There is no way to stake a sub-minimum amount.

Q: Is the minimum staking quantity the same as the minimum buy quantity for that coin?
Not necessarily. Minimum staking quantities and minimum buy or sell quantities are set separately and can differ from one another, so meeting the buy minimum does not guarantee you meet the staking minimum. Check the app for each figure independently. The staking screen shows the minimum needed to stake, while the buy or sell flow shows the trade minimums, which serve different purposes.

Q: What if I stake the minimum and the value falls below it due to price drops?
Nothing changes to your active position. The minimum is defined by coin quantity, not by IDR value, so a later fall in the coin's market price does not push an active stake below the minimum or unwind it. Price movements affect the rupiah value of your holding but not the staked quantity. The minimum only matters at the point you submit a new staking request.

Q: Can the minimum staking quantity change over time?
Yes. Pluang may update minimum staking quantities from time to time, which is one reason this figure can be seasonal rather than fixed. Because of that, always open the staking page in the app and check the current minimum for your coin before initiating a stake, rather than relying on a figure you saw previously. The in-app staking screen is always the authoritative source for the live minimum.

Q: Is there a maximum amount I can stake?
There is no stated maximum staking quantity per coin, so in principle you can stake your entire available balance of a supported coin. Keep in mind that staking a large portion still carries the ordinary risks — the coin's price can rise or fall, and staked coins are illiquid during the unbonding period, meaning you cannot sell or move them instantly. Size your stake with your liquidity needs in mind.
