What Can an AI Agent Do on My Behalf in My Pluang Account?

Pluang Agentic Trading lets a connected AI agent, such as Claude, check your portfolio, look up prices, place trades, and run backtests on your behalf using natural-language instructions.

What the agent can do:

  • Check your portfolio holdings and wallet balance
  • Look up current prices for supported assets
  • Review your transaction history and open positions
  • Place buy and sell orders across supported asset classes
  • Run investment backtests using historical data

What it cannot do: Withdraw or transfer funds out of your account. Trades placed by the agent go through the exact same licensed entities, regulatory framework, and fee schedule as trades placed manually in the app.

Related questions:

Q: Can the AI agent withdraw or transfer money out of my Pluang account?
No. Moving funds out of your account is excluded from the agent's permitted scope entirely — it can check balances and trade, but it cannot withdraw or transfer money out, regardless of instruction.

Q: Which assets can the AI agent trade for me?
Currently, US Stocks, Indonesian Stocks, Gold, Crypto, and Crypto Futures. You can still trade US Stock Options and Mutual Funds manually in the Pluang app.

Q: Does the AI agent decide what to trade on its own, or does it only act on my instructions?
It only acts on your instructions — it does not independently decide to trade without your prompt. Pluang Agentic Trading always asks you to confirm before an order executes.

Q: Can I use the AI agent just to run backtests without placing real trades?
Yes, backtesting doesn't require placing any live order and can be used purely for research.

Q: Does using the AI agent cost extra on top of normal trading fees?
No — the same underlying trading fees that apply to manual trades apply when the agent places a trade for you.
