Zoomcar narrows Q1 loss 65%, boosts contribution margin to 70% with higher-value trips strategy

Zoomcar Holdings reported a 2% rise in net revenue to $2.35 million for Q1 2026, with contribution margin expanding sharply to 70% from 49%, driven by a strategic shift to longer, higher-value trips. Contribution profit per booking increased 72% to $18.75, marking the eleventh consecutive quarter of positive contribution profit. Adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed 65% to $0.61 million, the lowest in nearly three years, reflecting improved operational efficiency and cost reductions, including lower losses from accidental damage and theft. The company also expanded its vehicle offerings with a two-wheeler pilot and is actively raising growth capital while pursuing debt restructuring and a potential uplisting to a major U.S. exchange.
