X has filed a lawsuit in England against two named individuals and unidentified operators, accusing them of manipulating engagement across Bitcoin-focused accounts to fraudulently earn at least £207,384 through its Creator Revenue Sharing program. The company suspended the involved accounts in August after detecting coordinated fraudulent activity involving multiple accounts posting similar content and interacting to inflate engagement. X claims the defendants used deceptive methods, including overlapping devices and false payment details, and seeks repayment, damages, and legal costs. The Creator Revenue Sharing program ended in September, replaced by the Original Content Rewards program, which excludes artificial engagement to prevent similar fraud.
