Western Midstream Partners (WES) holds a 7.5% stake in the Solitude Pipeline System joint venture, which has approved the construction of two 48-inch natural gas pipelines from the Permian Basin to Katy, Texas. The project, supported by long-term contracts, will initially deliver 2.25 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) by late 2029 and add another 2.25 Bcf/d in 2030, with potential for further expansion. WES has secured firm transportation capacity on these pipelines to enhance service for its Delaware Basin customers and support growing demand, including LNG exports. The pipelines are expected to start service in the second half of 2029, pending regulatory approvals.
