Vertiv launches PurgeRite NearZero to cut water use and waste in data center cooling system setups

Vertiv introduced the PurgeRite NearZero service to reduce water consumption, wastewater, and hauling during commissioning of closed-loop hydronic systems in data centers. This service uses engineered flushing, water recycling, treatment, and continuous monitoring to minimize water sourcing and discharge needs while ensuring system cleanliness. It has shown reductions of up to 78% in water use and 91% in hauling volume, supporting more sustainable and efficient data center operations. Vertiv aims to help data centers manage complex fluid networks amid rising AI and high-density deployments.
