Uniswap Labs opens Token Jar system for apps to collect fees in one token despite multi-token payments

Uniswap Labs launched its Token Jar (TJAR) fee-conversion system to external apps, allowing them to collect fees in a single chosen token even when users pay in multiple tokens. This system helps app operators manage fees more efficiently by accumulating various tokens and converting them into one preferred payout token, which is then sent to a designated recipient like an app treasury. TJAR operates on seven blockchains and processed over $15.3 million in conversions in September. Robinhood is among the users leveraging this framework for fee collection across supported chains. The system requires a third-party searcher to initiate token conversion and payout based on preset conditions, giving operators control over payout tokens and thresholds without automatic price adjustments.

Uniswap Labs' Token Jar fee-conversion system is the subject here. For readers following the cryptocurrency market, 24 of 50 major cryptocurrencies on Pluang rose while 25 fell.
