Anthropic holds $131.7B in cash and investments, one of the largest cash reserves for a U.S. tech company.

Anthropic disclosed in its SEC filing that it had $112.4 billion in cash and $19.3 billion in short-term investments as of June 30, totaling $131.7 billion. This amount surpasses every non-bank U.S. company except Berkshire Hathaway and Alphabet, exceeding giants like Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft. The company plans an IPO that could raise over $100 billion, potentially increasing its cash reserves to more than $230 billion. Despite this massive cash pile, Anthropic faces significant future obligations, including over $321 billion in lease commitments and $265 billion in fixed commitments, mostly related to computing power, which it purchases well in advance. The company must continue fundraising or generate profits to meet these obligations.

As of Oct 28, 2026 04:21 WIB, major U.S. tech giants like Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon continue to show strong market positions on Pluang. Alphabet trades at USD 322.19 with a market cap of $3.86 trillion, while Amazon and Microsoft hold market caps of $2.69 trillion and $3.95 trillion respectively. Despite Anthropic's massive cash reserves, these established companies maintain significant enterprise values, with Microsoft at $3.94 trillion, highlighting the scale of the tech sector.
