$3.24B stolen in Binance hack traced through 7,700 TRON addresses before moving to other blockchains

Elliptic's investigation revealed that about $3.24 billion of assets stolen in the October 29 Binance hack were initially moved through roughly 7,700 TRON addresses. The stolen funds were shuffled across multiple wallets and services, with significant activity on TRON before migrating to Ethereum, Solana, and other networks. Despite the complex laundering process, only a small portion was cashed out, leaving a large amount traceable and potentially recoverable. The FBI attributes the hack to North Korea's TraderTraitor group, highlighting ongoing risks in crypto security.

While the article highlights the use of TRON addresses in laundering stolen Binance funds, BNB itself trades at Rp12.679.355 on Pluang as of Nov 03, 2026 05:41 WIB, down 1.07% in one day. The Binance Coin market cap stands at Rp1.662,07 trillion with a 24-hour volume of Rp24,57 trillion, showing strong trading activity compared to its circulating supply of 131.5 million coins. This contrasts with the complex movement of stolen assets across multiple networks, underscoring BNB's significant presence and liquidity in the market.
