Tether and Fasanara Capital have launched StableFund, a private credit fund initially backed by $400 million from both firms, aiming to raise up to $3 billion from institutional investors. The fund will use Tether's USDT stablecoin as the settlement method to finance small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and consumer credit through fintech lending networks across more than 60 countries. Fasanara will manage the fund, focusing on short-term, collateralized loans including trade receivables and supply chain financing. This initiative leverages Tether's stablecoin technology to enable seamless cross-border financing, bridging traditional and blockchain finance systems, and reflects Tether's broader strategy to diversify investments beyond stablecoin issuance.
